Robert GUILLERME (1913-1990) & Jacques CHAMBRON (1914-2001) met on the front during World War II. Robert Guillerme was an interior designer and decorator, Jacques Chambron with an Applied Arts diploma, worked as a painter-decorator.

In 1949, during the French reconstruction, the two men founded Votre Maison. Their aim was to produce quality wooden furniture in partnership with Dariosecq, a cabinet-making workshop. Guillerme designed, Chambron managed the customer relationship and Dariosecq manufactured. From 1953, Boleslaw DANIKOWSKI (1928-1979) ceramics, very typical of the 70s, brightened up their creations. Jacques Chambron’s son, Hervé, joined the team in 1973 and took over in 1983 when his elders retired.

Their proposals are quite unique and aim to create comfortable and practical everyday furniture. Their furniture regularly exceeds one single function: their shelves or bedside tables form lamps, the tables unfold, the addition of a magazine rack makes another piece of furniture more useful…

The quality of manufacture is always there with solid oak furniture and neat details that passed the years without a hitch.
